My husband and I selected Glenbrooke as our home of choice to enhance our retirement lifestyle, but never thought about what Glenbrooke would offer if either of us passed away. After his passing, our children asked me to move closer to them. Even with my limited vision, I am able to maintain an independent, active, vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle. The staff is always available to meet any wants or needs that I may have, and they always do it with a smile and a hug.
4th of July Celebrations in Senior Living Back
It’s a party in the U.S.A. and it’s a party here at Glenbrooke at Palm Bay! Whether you live in independent or assisted living, we’ve got everything you need for your Fourth of July celebration. From decorations, to patriotic crafts and recipes, celebrating the holiday has never been simpler! Check out these festive ideas:
Step 1: Cut a 15- by 11-inch rectangle from ticking stripe fabric and a 6- by 5-inch rectangle from denim fabric.
Step 2: Use a "disappearing" pen (available at craft stores) to trace a five-point star on denim. Outline by passing a need and thin white yarn though each of the points.
Step 3: Sew the denim to the top left-hand corner of the ticking stripe. (Iron-on adhesive will also do the trick.)
Step 4: Create a relaxed frayed edge by pulling out threads along the placemat's border.
Sparkling Cherry Limeade:
Enjoy this delicious and simple drink that will certainly refresh you from the Palm Bay, Florida weather. Just add a couple maraschino cherries and juice from the jar to a cup of sprite and garnish with a lime wedge.
Holidays in senior living may look a little different, but at Glenbrooke at Palm Bay, you deserve to enjoy your favorite activities, celebrations, and pastimes! What are you waiting for? Our community of friendly residents and extraordinary staff is ready to celebrate with you!
